As we go through a higher title or a job position, we tend to be happy about it and cling on to it. This is one of the illusions that are unique in living on the planet Earth. From the perspectives from Sprits, we don’t have such titles or job positions, anything like that, to compete one another. In Spirit World, we are satisfied with who we truly are, and we don’t need to compete with other souls. We respect other souls who have different gifts and personalities. We respect one another. There is no win or lose. We simply don’t have any negative emotions such as jealous or prejudice.
I know one Japanese man who stays being humble in all his life. He doesn’t like to be called “Master” even though he is actually in a position of Master due to his diligent contribution. He is reluctant to be called even “Sensei” (meaning Teacher). He wants to be called simply as his name xxx-san.
There is a Japanese old saying “実るほど頭の下がる稲穂かな”. Somebody translated this as “The boughs that bear most hang lowest” or “the more noble, the more humble”. Ideally, as we get older, as we get higher tile or job position, we want to be even more humble than our younger days, and show the right direction to the younger generation. We want to become such ideal goals for younger souls.
