Have you ever received any kinds of chain letters? Probably most people have the experiences. Recently I received one chain letter from my acquaintance. It says something like this.
This is a letter from God. I want you to forward this letter to 18 people within next 10 minutes. Then, you will hear a good news…
It is also written additional comment such as….
If you want to delete your karma, you’d better do this.
When I received this chain letter, I felt uncomfortable. I even felt anger to the sender. To me, this additional comment sounds like a threat.
I ignored this chain mail. Then the next day, I received another comment from the same sender, asking to take an action right away.
I politely replied back to the sender, asking not to send any chain letters to me anymore. Quickly, the sender replied back to me, saying that (1) the person also does not like chain letters neither, (2) that the person forwarded the chain letter because her friend asked to do so, and (3) that the person also hopes not to receive any chain letters from anybody anymore.
Please don’t get me wrong. I am sharing this story not to blame the sender. My intention of sharing this story is to encourage people not to participate in any actions to make your friends feel uncomfortable.
Spirits, Angels, Gods never put any conditions to humans such as saying “do this, then I will love you”. They never ask humans to do such things like forwarding chain letters in order to delete karma or in order to receive something good news. Their love is always unconditional.
Karma is not something to be deleted or added by God. Karma does not necessary mean only bad deeds. Karma can be good deeds too. We can work on it in our daily life.
When you receive a chain letter, please focus on your emotion. If you feel uncomfortable on receiving it, just like I felt, please follow your inner gut feeling. You can be brave and say “NO” to the chain letter, and stop the chain at your place. If you forward the chain letter to your friends, you will make your dear friends to feel uncomfortable and put them in a tough situation. Now they have to choose certain number of their dear friends to forward the chain letter. Somebody has to cut the chain, and each of us can be brave to protect your dear friends and family.
