Today I attended the Facebook Page class at the local community college. The target audience was self-employment owners like me. The instructor gave us the information about Facebook Page and the technique how we can efficiently advertise our products and services by using several apps.
I am personally not good at advertising myself and my services. And I am reluctant on showing myself in public, especially in SNS. During I was listening her explanations on helpful app and tools, I thought to myself…, maybe I will try these some other time… I felt overwhelmed with the idea on advertising myself and exposing myself in Internet world.
Probably, I was not the only one who thought so, but also other students were having the same thoughts as I did. Then the instructor started laughing. She said she understand many people would feel overwhelmed with all the advertising parts. She said she had a work around for those people. Then she clicked the next page in her PowerPoint document. There was 2-3 seconds until the work around method showed up. The message slowly appeared…. And it says….
Suck it up!
We all bursted to laugh. She was absolutely right. We are the self-employed owners. If we want to make our business successful, we’ve gotta do. I too would like many people to know what I offer, so I guess I’ve got to advertise myself….
