Saturn Return 11/2/2016

During our lifetime, we have several life transitions. Saturn Return is one of such transitions.

The planet Saturn makes one orbit around the Sun in about 29.5 years. And so, every 29.5 years, the planet Saturn in the sky returns back to the same place where it was at the time of our birth. So, roughly speaking, we have our first Saturn Return at 28-30 years old, the second one at 58-60 years old, and the third one at 88-90 years old.

Maybe, the third one will not impact us that much, because we will have developed a thick skin by then; we won’t get affected not so hard. But as for the first Saturn Return, I think everybody will experience huge impacts in our life transitions.

During Saturn Return, people tend to experience something radical; life changing events. Some people might experience to force to change their career, while others might experience to hear strong urge from their soul to do something. Experiencing life changes can be stressful. Staying the same situation is easy. However, if we stay in the same situations, there is no opportunities for us to grow up and to improve ourselves. Therefore, once in a while, we need the strict and stubborn grandpa energy to face our weakness and overcome them for our further steps.

In my image, the planet Saturn is like a stubborn grandpa. He can be scary because this grandpa powerfully forces us to do something. But we need to know that this grandpa is full of wisdom and knowledge; he is doing so for reasons, for our highest good. So, the Saturn Return will usually force us to face to the different direction from the direction where we were facing. The new direction might be our original life direction that we had planned before we were born.

Also we need to know that this grandpa is humble and does not like to cling on unnecessary things. Therefore, during the Saturn Return, we might lose something that we had been clinging on. We might feel sad to lose them, but in the end, we will find something more important for our life. When we lose something, we make open space to receive something new. The grandpa Saturn is actually needed for our life to remind us of our original life plans.

In my personal life, my first Saturn Return was April 21, 1999. I had the huge life changing events during my first Saturn Return. I visited Navajoland December 30th 1998, and I met my husband in March 1999. These events were the beginning of the new chapter of my life.

Nobody can predict exactly what will happen during their Saturn Return. But I can at least say that we don’t need to feel scared of Saturn Return. Everything happens for reasons, and the events will make us stronger and wiser than before, and bring us back to the right direction in the end.
