Pure kindness 11/7/2016

This morning my daughter had a dental appointment in the early morning. It was done very quickly so that we made it before the school started. When we arrived at the school playground and I was about to leave, my daughter started shedding tears, clinging on me tightly. She said she loved me so much and she did not want me to leave her.

Then, seconds later, we were surrounded by several children. They were my daughter’s friends and classmates. They hugged her, rubbed her back gently, and calmed her down. They said to her “it is okay, we will have a good time together in school, you can see your mom after the school”, stuff like that.

I was standing in the center of the children’s circle with my daughter, in awe.

My heart was filled up with lots of love and hopes. What I just experienced with these children was just awesome. This is the ideal world that we want to make, right? When somebody feels sad, other people go there and send their love and kind words to them. They stay together until the person feels better.

Children are amazing teachers. It is our (adults’) responsibility to take good care of children so that we can learn more from them. Children are the one who will contribute to make our world to a much better place in the near future.
