Since I launched my small business, I have been working on the marketing strategy. And I have been thinking of my capacity and preference in marketing strategy.
When I think of marketing, I visualize two images; a hunter and a fisherman.
I know myself being as a fisherman, rather than a hunter. In my image, actively going out to sell relates to male energy. And my image of male energy is being a hunter. On the other hand, passively waiting for the candidate customers relates to female energy. And my image of female energy is a fisherman.
I don’t think I can become an active hunter. But I can become an active fisherman who puts a whole bunch of baits on a fishing pole.
It reminds me of two Sabian Symbols. Aries 21 degree: A pugilist enters the ring, and Aries 22 degree: The gate to the garden of desire. My horoscope teacher explained the energy of these two symbols like this. Aries 21 degree describes a fighter. The person are fully motivated to grab what they want. They are willing to fight to get what they want. They make extra efforts to get it. They grab the victory. It reminds me a male energy.
On the other hand, Aries 22 degree describes an attractive trap. The person makes themselves look weak so that they can attract necessary supports and helps. It reminds me of a female energy.
I think both energies are good. It is up to us how we get what we want; by either using a male energy or a female energy.
