Unique is good 12/17/2016

Today I was chatting with my friend at the park. We were talking about what kind of a child we were. It was fun topic to talk about.

My friend mentioned she was always the one who was busted and scolded by the school teacher for doing something bad. Even though her other classmates were doing the same, they never got caught. While I was listening her story, I thought maybe she always volunteers to get scolded on behalf of other classmates, in her unconscious level. She is still like that. She is still a kind-hearted person and always volunteers to do something.

As for me, when I was small, I was different than other classmates. I could not fit in well to any groups. In Japanese culture, where we have strongly influenced by the agricultural culture, people try to fit in with others, trying not to stand out from others. Therefore, when I was small, I always felt embarrassed me being different. I didn’t like being unique.

But now as I grow older, I am becoming more comfortable being unique.

Then, an interesting synchronicity occurred. When I was talking about the exact part “now I am fine with being unique,” my friend and I felt some unique energy coming closer to us. Both of us turned toward the direction and saw a very unique looking dog walking toward us. Very, very unique. I never saw such unique looking dog so far in my life, so did my friend.

The dog passed by us. As if the dog telepathically talked to me that “I am very unique and I am loving it.” It was nice to see the dog walking proudly.

So, the bottom line is: being unique is good and we should be loving it.
