This morning I had a clear dream. Lots of snakes were gathering around me and they all jumped into my pocket. My pocket was like the Doraemon’s Four-dimensional pocket. It could hold anything without limitation. The dream of lots of snakes jumping into the pocket is considered as a message for receiving good luck fortune. I don’t know how I can receive such fortune, but I for sure look forward to it.
When I was small, my dad shared his dream. In his dream, lots of white snakes jumped into his pocket. Just the same as I had this morning. It was when he established his own company several years ago. His company was still small and had a small portion of profits. After this dream, his business boomed up and he received lots of unexpected support and good luck in his company.
In Navajo culture, I have heard medicine men and elders considering a snake as a messenger to warn something to you. In Japanese culture, a snake is considered as a holy creature as well as a messenger from God, so (as far as I know) we don’t kill a snake. When I was small and encounter a snake, elders would tell me not to bother a snake, say a little prayer and appreciation to it, and leave the place.
Last year when we were having tough days from lots of challenges and troubles, I had a snake dream many times. In addition to that, I encountered a live snake in my garage twice last year. I understood these snakes came to me to convey a warning message. On the other hand, this year, snakes are coming to me to convey a blessing message. This is just my personal interpretation.
I personally respect snakes. Whenever a snake shows up either in my dream or in the real life, I try to listen what the snake trying to tell me. A snake always brings special meanings to me. Maybe it is the influence from my aunt who had already passed away. She passed down lots of precious teaching about spirituality and Japanese traditional way. She always showed her respect to a snake. And, I often see a white snake behind her in my spiritual eyes. The big white snake was her guardian existence.
I think everybody has a certain favors in animals, birds, or trees. Maybe it is due to the spiritual connection to you.
