I went to the Zumba class this morning.
There were around 25 people. Definitely I was the youngest, as the other students were around their 60s and 70s. Amazingly, they could really dance.
I enjoyed participating in the Zumba class for three reasons.
The first reason is to enjoy everybody’s colorful outfit. They expressed themselves by wearing their unique and colorful Zumba outfits. It reminded me of a bunch of parrots spreading their colorful wings.
I think this is one of the benefits on living in America. In Japan, as we get older, we tend to wear monotone color. The major color of old people’s clothes in Japan, as far as I remember, were black, white, and gray. Here in America, I’ve seen many old people in many times, in the teen clothing section in the store. I’ve seen many old people wearing a T-shirt with pretty heart or butterfly on the chest area. The color is pink, light blue, and orange.
The second reason is to enjoy many different nationality people doing the same thing together. It is great to see different nationality people becoming friends and smiling each other.
And the third reason is to enjoy the reasonable class fee. Compared with the class fees in Japan, the class fees in America are very reasonable so that everybody can easily join.
