My daughter’s school teacher gave me a wonderful news today. She said “you might want to check today’s newspaper.” We don’t subscribe the daily newspaper, but I know one friend who does. I called her and she allowed us to swing by at her house. She gave me today’s paper.
I was so happy to see my daughter’s picture in the paper. She is shy and she cannot make a natural smile when somebody tries to take a picture of her. But in this picture, somebody must be very good at making my daughter relaxed. She put a relaxed smile on her face in the picture. Besides, she was standing in the middle among other classmates, the teachers, and the other people.
So, I went to the store and bought four more newspapers, so that I can share it with my parents in Japan, parents-in-laws, and my friends in Japan.
In the evening, we went to Chinese restaurant. The food came with fortune cookies as usual. My daughter’s fortune cookie said
“Enjoy the spotlight.”
Indeed, she enjoyed being in the spotlight today.
