I’ve been missing Japanese real sushi for years. Today I ate sushi at the Japanese restaurant. It was so good. Although I enjoyed them very much, the price was very, very expensive, for such a small amount (The dish included only three petite-size sushi and four sashimi…). This is why I cannot go there frequently.
What I miss the most in Japanese food is fresh sea food. When I was living in Japan, because I lived close to the ocean, I was benefited to buy fresh fish in a very reasonable price.

Thinking of fish reminded me one Japanese person who lived in Albuquerque. When I visited her, it was more than 10 years ago, she showed me a box of full of Japanese foods including frozen fish. She told me about the Japanese community in her local area. One of the community member was the owner of Japanese restaurant, and so she let other Japanese residents to buy Japanese foods through her networking with a pretty reasonable price. The frozen fish included Karei, Aji, Hirame, Tai, just like Japanese people could find it in their local grocery store. The fish prices were $1 or $2, very reasonable, with a safe package.
So, in those days, I naturally thought I would get the similar opportunities to buy Japanese foods even in America. However, in my local area, I haven’t had no such opportunities for these nine years.
I guess it is time for me to seriously ask for Japanese fresh fish (frozen fish is acceptable) with a reasonable price in my daily prayer. Spiritually speaking, anything is possible, right?
