Has anybody experienced any wrong charges due to computer communication error in these couple of days? For me, I went through three errors. I was charged the wrong charge from the credit card, I received the duplicated invoices in the water bill, and my auto insurance payment was rejected for unknown reasons. Nobody knew the exact reason of these rejections. I talked to the credit card company and the bank, and they could not figure it out the reasons of rejections. These issues started from June 2nd and finally resolved yesterday June 8th. Everything dealt with the communication error between computers through the Internet.
My husband went through the similar error that he was charged three times by mistake. He talked to the merchandise. He felt the merchandise tried to the right procedure, but for some reasons, it went wrong.
Combining together, we went through four errors in total regarding communication error.
First, I wondered if we were in the Mercury retrograde duration. After I checked the dates, it was not. So, what were the causes of these computer communication error, I wonder.
That made me think about the difference of monetary system between my younger days and current days. In my younger days, I used mainly cash for shopping. Even after I became an adult, I preferred to using cash. I seldom used credit cards.
After I moved to America, for these five years or so, my payment method has completely changed from cash to credit cards. In recent years, I heavily depend on credit cards.
While I was writing this article, one message popped into my head. They happened to warn us to be alert, rather than fully depending on computers and credit cards.
That can be applied to everything that we take it for granted for its convenience. We should pay extra caution to convenient things. Let’s not fully depend on machines or computers.
