Ghost frog 9/18/2017

In my early 20s, I once heard this story from one of my ex-boyfriends.

He grew up in a country side where there were no fun places such as parks nor stores to hang out. During summer time, there were a whole bunch of frogs. As a young boy who desperately needed fun stuff to engage, he once got a brilliant idea. It went like this.

He caught a frog and stuck a skinny straw into its but. He brew air into the frog body. The frog eventually exploded. He thought it so funny that he kept on doing that to all the other frogs that he could find.

On that night, he had sleep paralysis. His body was not movable, but his conscious was back. He felt heavy feeling on his both shoulder. He saw a huge ghost frog was on his body glaring at him. He got scared with goosebumps all over his body.

The ghost frog told him something like this. “How dare you killed all of us. You killed us just for fun. Do not do that anymore.”

At this moment, he finally felt sorry for all the frogs that he killed for fun. He apologized for his wrong deeds and promised not to do that again. With his sincere statement, the ghost frog accepted his apology and disappeared.

I decided to share this story because I see and hear school children easily kill bugs, lizards, and horned toads. They are harmless. I wish I will have an opportunity to share this story to kids.
