Holiday card 11/5/2017

I am surprised that we are already in the holiday season. In America, the two months of November and December will go quickly, especially for the family with school kids.

In November we have a veteran’s day holiday and a Thanks giving holiday. In December we have a Christmas vacation. Many day-offs for school kids in this season.

This afternoon, I ordered our holiday cards online. This year’s card was different from the previous years. I selected a folded card so that I could put several pictures of us. I wrote some messages, even in Japanese too. And, I added a 2018 calendar on the back of the card. It took my whole afternoon to create this card. I enjoyed the process of creating it.

In Japan, we send a new year’s greeting card. The cards will arrive after the New Year. In contrast to that, in America, we send a holiday greeting card during the holiday season in November and December.

In both ways, I think it is a good custom to contact our family and friends. I still like the actual paper material sending by a snail mail, instead of just an email. It makes me feel happy by just imagining the recipients’ smile on their face when they see our holiday card.

Any feedback? (^^♪
