While I was visiting my Japanese friend, she introduced me many homemade foods and the recipes. Everything she cooked was so delicious. One of the recipes that she shared with me was a homemade yeast to bake a bread.
One week ago, I prepared a homemade yeast. This was my first time. When you actually do it by yourself, you will be amazed at the simple and easy procedure. First, sterilize a glass jar and tools by boiling. Then, put raisins and purified water in the jar. Raisins should be without oil coated. Keep the jar in the room temperature. Open the lid of the jar once a day. Then, put the lid back and shake the jar to stimulate the yeast.

On the first day, all the raisins sank at the bottle of the jar. From the second, the raisins started floating. In addition to that, from the second day, every time when I opened the lid, it made a fizz sound. And it smelled fruity and sweet.
Today was the Day 7. I thought my homemade yeast was ready to use. I used it and baked my homemade bread.
And, the bread with my fist homemade yeast turned out great. It was amazingly fluffy and soft. And it was very tasty. I will bake my homemade bread more often from now on.
