I took my daughter to the department store. That was very rare for me to do so. Simply because I avoid to go to any place where people crowded.

Here is the reason why I forced myself to go to the store today. My daughter mentioned every time after the long vacation, many of her classmates came with a brand new outfit.
I thought back of my elementary school days. Yes, she is right. Many of my classmates came with a brand new outfit on the semester starting day. Since my family was not that rich at that time, I could not do the same. I remember I felt sad and envied my classmates. I didn’t want her to feel the same way as I did. I thought my daughter deserves to feel special on her school starting day.
At the store, there were many pretty and high quality kids’ clothing available. I turned back to my daughter. Her left lower arm was already occupied with some clothes that she wanted to try on. She was excited on choosing her new outfits.
I bought her five new outfits. She thanked me many times. Her casual action reminded me of my younger days. Whenever my parents bought me new clothes, I took it for granted and never thanked them as my daughter did to me.
My daughter taught me the important lesson today. Even between family members, whenever your family member does something nice to you, we should thank them, instead of taking it for granted. Good communication makes the relationship grow.
