The house purchasing procedure: house tour: Day-1: 1/11/2018

As I mentioned in my previous articles, I have started thinking about buying a house in this area. When I was taking a walk in the neighborhood area, I saw one house for sale. I went back home and researched the house online. The house was on the market for 11 days.

I was so curious about this house. Normally I hesitate to make a phone call to a stranger. And normally I wait for my husband come back home and have him call. This time though, for some reasons, I was brave enough. I just picked up my phone and called to the agent right away. I made an appointment of the house tour on the same day’s evening.

The house is located on the street next to our street. It only takes us two minutes walking.

The house was under foreclosure, but the conditions were not that bad. According to the realtor agent, some foreclosure houses do not come with most of appliances. And most cases the houses are taken care badly, such as stain in the carpets, holes in the doors and walls.

In this house, all the appliances were there. The refrigerator was stainless steel made with side-by-side door design. The gas stove and the dish washer looked clean and new. The washing machine and dryer will stay with the house as well. The walls and doors were okay, at least no holes.

The house was spacious with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The previous owner converted the garage into the room with carpet. It is more than 1,800 square feet in the residence space. And, the lot is 6,600 square feet. The roof sits high, and that makes the entire house look gorgeous. Among all, my most favorite aspect of this house is the big outdoor swimming pool.

I like the house very much. My husband and daughter don’t like it very much though.

After we came back home, we talked about the house. Both of my husband and my daughter didn’t like moving, but they didn’t hate the house neither. After our discussion, we all agreed to make an offer to the house tomorrow.

I am so excited on purchasing the house. The moving should be easy. We have done the same type of moving four years ago. Since we already know the area and the neighbors, it won’t be a huge change. It will be great to have our own private swimming pool in our back yard.
