Don’t give up 4/24/2018

Two years ago I purchased the online course Writer’s Workshop from Hay House. The price of the course was not the casual one that I couldn’t spontaneously purchase it right away. It was $999 at that time. The current price is $1,199. I really wanted to publish my book and learn about the publishing procedure. After I slept on it, I dared to purchase it. It was a huge shopping for me.

After I entered the writer’s contest and didn’t win it, I was shocked. I even cried out loud. Then, I was totally discouraged.

Since then, I didn’t continue watching any of new contents Hay House added newly. The CEO of Hay House, Reid Tracy, offered several free webinar about publishing books and answering questions, but I was not interested in them at all. I kept on ignoring the webinars.

A couple of days ago, I received an email again from Hay House. The title of the email was “Can I ask you something? (Please read)”.

Scary, right?

So, I opened the email and read it. It was from the CEO asking why I haven’t signed up to his new upcoming courses. It contained the link for the recipients to send their feedbacks. It says the CEO will personally read each and every reply.

I was surprised at the fact that the CEO of such a huge publishing company wants to read every single feedback about their course. I thought it was sincere of him.

So, today, I devoted my time on watching his two recent webinars.

Toward the middle, one woman asked the question. It was exactly the same question I wanted to ask him, but I was too shy to ask.

Here goes the question.

She didn’t win the contest. She wanted to know the reason why Hay House didn’t pick hers. She believes her book proposal was great.

The answer of the CEO was beautiful.

He mentioned like this.

Not winning at their contest does not mean your book isn’t good nor you shouldn’t send your book proposal to another publishers or agents.

He mentioned about the book Chicken soup for the Soul. Before this book being published, it was turned down by 30 publishes. Hay House was one of them. This book has become one of the biggest selling books ever. He said “The book publishers are not always perfect. They don’t always make the right decisions.”

When I heard him saying this, I got goosebumps. This is the right message I should hear.

I appreciate Reid Tracy for the beautiful answer and powerful encouragement. I turned out he sent out the email to a whole bunch of people. He read individual feedback replied back to him. He said it was about 1,500 people.

And, I know it was my family spirits to have guided me to this webinar. Thank you to my family spirit, for always guiding me to the right message. I love you guys always.

Any feedback? (^^♪
