Yesterday was my mom’s detailed examination day. Before I went to sleep last night, I prayed for her. She always tells me that she cannot go before my dad. She knows my dad needs her.
So, I prayed to my family spirits and my mom’s guide spirits to listen to my mom’s wish. Please let everything go, based on my mom’s wish, for her highest goods.
While I was sleeping, she emailed me about the test result. The doctor prescribed her some medicine. There was no need for a surgery nor a hospitalization at this moment.
I shared the good news about my mom with my family. We are so relieved that she did not need to have a surgery nor stay in the hospital.
I am happy for my parents to have each other to survive their old days together.
My parents complain about each other to others. It is very rare for Japanese old couples to praise about each other in public. I know deep inside though, my parents love each other and support one another.
My mom always tells me “there are many things that only the two of the married couple know.” My parents have been together for more than 50 years. They must have gone through many goods and bad together. Their relationship is similar to war buddies.
The relationship between my husband and I is similar. We have known each other for 21 years now. We have already went through a lot together. We are definitely war buddies in life.
