This morning after my daughter had gone to school, I was relaxing my alone time drinking the medicine herbal tea at home. A sudden phone call broke my silent moment.
It was from the teacher at her school. Any phone call from my daughter’s school make me feel uneasy.
With my heart ponding, I answered the phone.
The teacher said my daughter had a bug bite or something on her cheek. She had a slightly reddish eye.
While listening to the teacher, I got a vision of my daughter. I had a confidence that she was fine.
I told the teacher it was probably not from a bug bite, but from somebody’s pets’ hair. My daughter is allergic to some type of pets’ hair. She gets rush all over her body with reddish eyes. But luckily her reaction does not always go really bad. All she needs is to take a shower, and she will get better quickly.
I also told the teacher I will be right there to pick my daughter up.
The great thing for us is our house is very close to the school. Within 5 minutes from the teacher’s call, I was at the school picking my daughter up.
Right after we got back home, my daughter run to the bathroom and took a shower.
As I predicted, the allergic symptom disappeared when she got out of a shower.

After she spent 2 hours at home relaxing and eating lunch, she went back to the summer school program.
My morning went by so quickly.
I was glad I was available when my daughter needed me today. If I had been gone for job or appointment to the next city, I would not have taken care of my daughter as I could today. I appreciate my current situation. I want to be available for my daughter whenever she needs me.
