Power of actual voices 7/20/2018

Yesterday I changed the setting on my cell phone, and now that I can receive international calls. I wanted to convey this great news to my mom.

My mom is not good at typing text messages on her cell phone. Her text message is very short because she omits lots of important information. Reading her text messages always gives me a bunch of lots of question marks. I have to guess what she really means. I feel like solving some mysterious codes whenever I read my mom’s text messages.

In order to communicate with my mom, talking on the phone is the best way.

Today when I talked my mom on the phone, her voice sounded much healthier and happier than before.

Earlier this month, she had the detailed physical examination. Because we communicated with text messages, I didn’t know enough information about the result. All she told me was that the doctor prescribed her some medicines.

While talking on the phone I finally knew the medicine was antibiotic for her cough. The antibiotic worked well so that my mom’s cough completely went away. She told me she feels much better than before.

It was great talking with her on the phone.

Emails and text messages are convenient, but listening to actual voices on the phone is a more powerful tool than reading text messages.
