Today, a priority mail envelop was delivered to me. When I opened it, I found a letter and a gift card.
The letter says I am a First Prize winner in the customer survey monthly sweepstakes. The prize was $100 gift card.
Wow!
I never thought I would be a winner at their sweepstakes. It has been a while I won a first prize.

I recall my days when I was a small child.
Every autumn, we had autumn festival at the local shrine. They had a raffle draw.
There were from the first prize to the fifth prize. The first prize was a 2-nights trip to hot spring hotel, and the second prize was a 1.8 liter Sake bottle. The first prize and the second prize were only one winner each. I believe the first prize was a golden ball, and the second prize was a silver ball.
The third prize and the fourth prize were some foods, maybe a small cookie or cracker. The third and the fourth had many winners each. The fifth prize was a pocket tissue. The fifth prize was actually a blank prize, because it was for everybody who didn’t win any prizes from the first to the fourth.
In my younger child days, I had a good luck. Every time I played the raffle draw, I always won the second prize, a 1.8 litter Sake.
I needed to hold the big glass sake bottle on my both arms and walked back home for 20 minutes. I always needed to give my prize to my dad. My dad gave me some money for my prize. I don’t remember the exact amount, though.
I won the second prize all the year during the elementary school days, from the first grader to the six grader. I stopped going to the festival when I turned to be a junior high school student.
So, I always thought I was lucky in my childhood days. Recently I feel I am gaining back my good luck. I have been lucky.
