I had been thinking about having a haircut.
My favorite hair salon does not take an appointment. It means customers just walk in. We, customers, don’t know how long we have to wait for our turn. Since this area is called a retirement city for elderly people, old people are seen everywhere throughout the city. Last time when I went to this hair salon early morning on weekday, there were already some elderly people waiting in line before me, even though it was before the store opened.

When I woke up this morning, I saw heavy clouds in the sky. Today’s weather forecast showed a rain mark all day in this area. I instantly knew it was the best day for me to have a haircut at the hair salon. The rain or extreme cold weather would keep elderly people inside their house. I would not need to wait long for my turn.
When I arrived at the hair salon, I confirmed my guess was right. Since no customers was in the store, I was served right away. Luckily enough there was nobody after me, so the hair stylist took her time on me without any hustle. I loved the quiet moment.
This was my second haircut from a professional this year. The first one was in this January. In the middle of the year I thinned out the middle part of my hair. Since I could not thin out my hair with a well balance, I still regret for thinning out my hair by myself.
That brings my new resolution of next year. I am not going to have a haircut by myself next year. You might laugh at it, but I am serious.
