This morning the first email I read was the thank-you letter from my life-long friend.
She said she thought of me and wanted to say thank-you to me, at the very moment of transitioning from the old era to the upcoming new era.
On May 1st 2019, the current Japanese Emperor’s son is expected to ascend to the throne as the 126th Emperor of Japan. Our new era Reiwa (令和) is about to start.
My friend and I met and became friends when we were 11 years old. She has known about me the best of anybody else. Especially for the recent 30 years, which was during the current Heisei Era, we had gone through lots of life transitions. We both have observed each other’s life changing events.
We both feel in awe about our long term friendship.
Even though we live far away physically, we always feel each other very close mentally.
I really appreciate her to be my life-long friend.
