Science fair 5/3/2019

This evening my husband and daughter attended a science fair at the school. I always appreciate the school for offering a variety of events for the students and parents to enjoy.

I left behind at the house and talked with my mom in Japan over the phone.

It was always great to know that my parents are doing fine. Even though they are suffering many inconveniences compared with their younger and healthier days, they still can live in their house without anybody’s help. They can walk around the house and eat whatever they want.

Now that I can totally understand how precious they can keep their normal routine.

It was another peaceful day.

In Japan they are in the middle of Golden week. This year most people are enjoying a 10-days’ vacation.

That being said, according to my Japanese parents and friends, there are some people who already miss their normal routine. I can easily imagine how they feel. In my last 10 years in Japan, I was working as a temporary worker. Since I was not a full time worker from a company, I was not paid during any holidays. During such long holidays, we saw nothing but long waiting lines and traffic jams everywhere.

I am glad I am not suffering the same situation anymore.
