I have been in the process of organizing the entire house.

The other day while I was working with our medicine and consumables closet, I saw some batteries being covered by white powers. I have 3 different manufactures. I found out the white powered batteries are of only one manufactures. The batteries from other two manufactures are totally fine.

When I went to school I asked around my acquaintances what they would do if they find leaked batteries.
One person advised me to check the expiration date.
The other person advised me to clean the leaked area with a mixture of water and lemon juice at 50/50 rate.
The other person advised me to just trash them.
I thanked everybody for their advice.

When I came back home, I looked at the leaked batteries. Their expiration date was June 2028. They should be still good. I also noticed the batteries say “10 years warranty”.
I visited the manufacture’s official website. They recommended consumers to buy and stock their batteries, because their batteries should be good for 10 years.
I contacted them through their contact page. I had two packages. One package was unopened. Other package was opened and two batteries were taken. I attached the pictures.

Their reply was quicker than what I expected.
They said that they would send me a coupon for my next battery purchase and that the coupon should be arrived 10 to 14 business days.
They didn’t mention the amount of the coupon. I was a bit disappointed. I thought it would be a 50 cents or a 1 dollar off coupon.

Within one week, I received an envelope from the manufacture.
When I opened it, I was surprised at the content. It included a sincere apology letter with 2 $20 vouchers.
