My daughter’s school had a field day. It was called a water fun day.
The students were required to bring an extra set of clothing.
The parents were invited to the BBQ lunch at cafeteria. I walked to the school as usual. When I got close to the school, I heard kids’ loud screaming/laughing voices. They must have been in a huge fun. Kids’ laughter is always great to hear.
I took a glance at the playground. A couple of fire trucks parked in the playground. Their emergency lamps were on. I further looked at them intensely. The fire truck’s long ladder was extended, and from the edge of the ladder, there was a water shower pouring on the playground. Under the shower, kids were laughing and running around.
I got relieved. They were here to support the kids’ fun day.

I joined up with my daughter at the cafeteria. Her hair was soaking wet, and her cheeks were red. She must have had a great time with her friends. A little later, my husband joined us too.
The workers from the fire department and the police department were cooking beef patties and hot dogs with the outside grills. We all enjoyed the BBQ lunch together.
