First day of 100th day on reading 7/4/2020

Today’s dream: I was working as a business woman. I was working as a team member with a group of my coworkers. I was the leader of the group. I could feel other member’s trust and respect to me. One of the team member was my best friend in my university days. I enjoyed working with them and being a part of this great team. After work, everybody came to my house to have dinner together. After I enjoyed the nice hot bath, I drained the hot water from the tub.

Then I woke up feeling energized.

According to the dream interpretation dictionary, draining the tub implies the dreamer will switch their interest from inner matters to outer matters. It also implies the dreamer will cut something off from the past and move on.

I am glad that I saw my best friend my dream, Rie-chan. I lost her contact for the past 20 years. I really hope I will be reconnected with her sometime soon.

Today was a National Holiday observed as Independence Day. Our local community didn’t have the annual cerebration event at the local park, but they still offered a firework display at night.

The firework started at dark. It started around 8:15 p.m. It was great that we could enjoy watching the firework from our house. We put chairs on the street in front of our house, just like our other neighbors. The firework display usually takes for 45 minutes in the previous years, but not for this year. Their firework display was much shorter than usual and ended around 8:30 p.m. Our neighbors played their fireworks on the public streets here and there. My family and I enjoyed watching them for a while.

I was 30 minutes late for the online Sunday Service. This was my fifth attendance. I enjoyed being there with other people as usual. Today there were 35 people attended. The school chairman mentioned in his sermon about Covid-19. He asked everybody to think about the true meaning and lesson from Covid-19. I will ask this question in my next meditation.

I applied for the spiritual awareness basic class at the Japanese mediumship school. The class will start from September. When I paid for the class fee, the school sent me some documents including class texts and instructions. The instruction says the students are recommended to read the book “The Greatest Miracle in the World” written by Og Mandino and perform the chapter nine for 100 days. Today I started doing so. My 100th day will be October 11th.

While I was reading the chapter, one sentence popped up in my mind. I think this is the answer about my dad. It helps me to understand him on why he is so stingy on money and stubborn about his belief.

“as those who have earned a fortune are more careful of it than those by whom it was inherited.” Cited from Chapter 9, “The Greatest Miracle in the World” written by Og Mandino.

When I see things from my dad’s perspective, I think I can understand him better than before. He was from a poor family. When he left his hometown and came to Kobe and married, he didn’t have much. He went through lots of toughness in his life and finally at his old age, he has accumulated his fortune. It is still wrong that he insists his success is all due to only him, but the truth is my mom had supported him a lot, so his success has been built by both of my dad and mom. I still think it is wrong that my dad takes all the inheritance from my mom to only himself but at least from today, I will try to understand him and be nice to him.
