See people as a precious soul, not by categorizing of their nationality 7/15/2020

Today’s dream: I was in a building with other people. It might be a bank. All of a sudden, one guy came in with a gun and yelled everybody to lie on the floor. There were old people who could not lie down on the floor due to their pain in the body. There were babies and little children who scared so much and tried to escape from the situation. The bad guy scared them by shooting the gun. I was one of them scaring and shaking on the floor. But on the next second, I thought I need to fight back. I stood up and run around to disturb the bad man’s attention. After a battle with the bad man, his gun fell off from his hand. His gun slipped on the floor and stopped right in front of me. I snatched the gun and showed it to everybody. I pointed the gun to the bad man and told him to release others. Then I told everybody that they could leave this place. Everybody thanked me for my heroic action.

Then I woke up.

This dream showed my current situation. I need to stand up for myself and change the situation.

The local public school has officially announced their policy for upcoming school year. The three options are confirmed. The students can choose one option out of the three options on either studying on-site, remote, or hybrid (mix of on-site and remote). All the students will be provided a laptop/tablet. Upon entering to campus, everybody including teachers and students will check their temperature. I am happy to know they are working for the safety of the students and the community.

In the evening I chatted with my Japanese friend. Her statements annoyed me a lot. I should have ended the conversation as soon as I noticed it and ended the conversation. But I could not. Rather, I tried to defense my opinion and we ended up kind of arguing over our different opinion. She repeated emphasizing on how great Japanese people are and how high the Japanese people’s average score of spiritual awareness. And she mentioned bad things about Americans. She said it indirectly, but it was obvious she was insulting Americans. I cannot completely agree with her. I agree that there are many nice people among Japanese, but not all of them. Same things can be said for Americans. I think it is dangerous to beautify only a certain nationality. From my personal experiences of living in America for 12 years and working with many different nationalities coworkers, I cannot categorize which nationality is better than the others. I wanted her to stop categorizing people in a certain box of nationality, race, or skin color. After ended the conversation with her, I regretted for spending time with her. After I ended the conversation with my Japanese friend, some uncomfortable energy stayed in me.

The good thing is I have a great tool to put myself back to my inner peace. The great tool is a meditation.

Today’s meditation: I did the guided mediation of HemiSync Focus-12. The message I received was like this.

Everything what I felt today was right. It is fine to have honest feeling.

Then, they showed me one sentence.

“Proclaim your rarity.” Cited from The Greatest Miracle In The World By Og Mandino

This sentence is now familiar with me because I have started reading this every day since July 4th. Today was my 12th day. It is interesting to witness some events happen to make me realize some lessons in this note.

After the mediation, I could go back to my inner peace. Now that I am in a calm state, my wish has gotten back to clear. I want the true peace where people respect others as a precious soul, rather than by categorizing them into nationality, skin color, or race. I want my friends to have similar ideas and opinions as I do. I don’t want to be around with anybody who has their ideas and opinions biased. I don’t want to be around with anybody who thinks they are superior to others. To me, such idea is dangerous. Their biased belief is like that of Hitler. We cannot repeat the sad historical mistakes again. We are here to change the world to a better place.
