In the afternoon we went to the hotel to cerebrate my daughter’s birthday. It was the same hotel where we stayed in last month. We like this hotel for their heated outdoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi.
We enjoyed swimming in the late afternoon. We had a nice dinner with the hotel’s complimentary red wine. Everything went well. It was a nice day to relax.
We went to bed at 9 p.m. After the good exercise from swimming, we fell asleep right away. However our peaceful sleep was suddenly disrupted. The hotel guests in our next room came back around 11 p.m. They were so loud. They sounded like a family of five; parents with three young kids. They started taking a bath with a jet. They took their time for long. The loud sound of the in-room jet bath in the middle of night was so disturbing. After their long bath, the parents started arguing. Their voice got louder and louder to the point where they yelled each other with cussing words. They even yelled to their kids.
We patiently waited for them to sleep, but their fight continued until 3 a.m. we could not sleep at all. Finally I asked my husband to call the front desk. He asked the front desk to give us a replacement room, but the front desk man said there was no vacant room available. He visited to the next door and warned the loud fighting parents to keep it down for other guests. After the front desk man left, the couple kept their voice low for about five minutes. Then they started getting louder and louder. It sounded they started punching each other or something. I heard lots of thuds, banging sounds, and screams. Then, to my surprise, they started taking a jet bath again. It was after 3:30 a.m.
This time I grabbed the phone and called the front desk. I told everything and asked for a replacement room in other building. The front desk man finally prepared another room and we moved. It was a room next to the swimming pool. The room was a luxurious suite room with a kitchen and a huge Jacuzzi in the room. The room had one big issue though. The strong cigarette odor. The front desk man said this room is a non-smoking room, but many hotel guests had smoked inside the room. It is understandable because this room is a party room. I can easily imagine the hotel guests gathered up in a huge Jacuzzi, with drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes.
We could finally sleep right before 4 a.m. It was a long and awful night.
