Yesterday of January 15th, my dad-in-law was sent to a big hospital by a medical helicopter. Today the doctor performed a surgery on his leg. There were some infection parts and liquid around the injured area, so the surgeon cleaned the area.
They will keep my dad-in-law for another four more days to check his health after the surgery. If everything turns good, he will be discharged.
Now one issue popped up. The hospital the medical team flew my dad-in-law was a three-hour drive away from their house. My mom-in-law usually does not drive for a long distance. She does not feel confident to drive that far all by herself. My husband just got the current job and cannot take four or five days off for this chore. I hope they will find out some good way to bring my dad-in-law back from the hospital to their house.
