Zoo 5/21/2021

My family and I visited a zoo in the morning. The visitors need to purchase an online ticket beforehand and they have a reserved time frame so as to reduce the number of the visitors. We selected the earliest time hoping there would not be so many people, but there were a whole bunch of people walking around. I miss the zoo in Navajoland where is always peaceful and quiet, hardly not many visitors. I feel sick by surrounded by a crowd of people. At least I was happy that my daughter and husband enjoyed the visit very much.

In the afternoon, I watched an old black and white movie Navajo (1952). I like this movie because it has many spiritual aspects. It shows how Navajo people traditionally think of physical death. The Grandpa tells the young boy that physical death is nothing, because we are originally spirits and we exist forever and everywhere. The main character; the young Navajo boy can listen to the messages from winds. He can sense the other humans’ existence in a far distance. I enjoyed seeing some familiar landscapes in Canyon de Chelly National Monument.
