Since May 6th, I have been studying Navajo language with the help of Navajo YouTuber. He started posting the video clips since 2011 and his videos have been accumulated to 358 video clips. I watched them little by little every day, taking a note and practicing the pronunciations. Today I finally finished watching all of his video clips.
In 2013 he posted a Vlog and announced he just had an audition of Navajo language voiceover for Star Wars. After this Vlog, he never mentioned about the audition, but he actually won a role of Luke Skywalker. I was very happy for him even though I don’t know him in person.
Back in 2013 my dad-in-law gifted us a DVD of the Star Wars dubbed in Navajo. I never watched the DVD at that time. Today I finally watched it. I was in awe that all the Navajo actors and actresses did a great job. I was happy that I could understand many Navajo words and sentences this time.
