Cow family 9/17/2021

My family and I went to the lake in the Arizona state park. Last year we didn’t go there, so it has been two years since our last visit. Even though we have been to there for almost ten years now, today we received a new information about their hiking trail from one of the park rangers.

She told us that the hiking trail has about 1.6 mile. It was located at the edge of their new cabin area, so maybe the trail was newly created.

When we entered, the trail had nicely paved stairs and open area to view the lake. After the open area, there was a cattle gate with the sign of “please always close this gate.” After passed the gate, we entered to the nature hiking area. We enjoyed the walking for about 30 minutes or so. When we walk in the nature area, my husband always goes first taking lead, my daughter follows, and I walk at the last bringing up the rear. All of a sudden since my husband stopped, we all stopped. We felt something weird in environmental energy. None of us uttered a word. We saw cows. They were a family of dad, mom, and two young ones. They were sitting down on the ground, but the mom and dad quickly stood up and started showing their anger to us in order to protect their young ones. We slowly retreated. Luckily, the cows didn’t follow us or anything.

I appreciate that we could come back safely. I also appreciate the cow family for not attacking us.
