Late at night around 8:30 p.m., I received a phone call from my mom-in-law. I was surprised at her call because she usually does not call me directly. I thought my husband’s phone had some issues that she could not get hold of my husband.
I quickly went to the living room and handed my phone to my husband. When I said it is from his mom, his face expression told me something big happened and he already knew it.
It was the announcement of my husband’s cousin’s sudden death. My husband just had a phone call from the cousin’s older sister and was informed 30 minutes ago. However, it was a shocking news that my husband wanted to tell us in the next morning. It was a tough news for him to accept. My husband and his cousin were very close to each other. They were born only 3 months apart from each other. They grew up together and were classmates at the school. They were like twin brothers. Nobody knows at this moment yet about the actual death cause. When his mom went to his room, he was already dead for many hours, maybe 1 or 2 days had already passed. We know he didn’t die from suicide. We just had a good time during our last visit. We know he had serious issues in his liver. The police has been investigating and the medical team will take over to find out the death cause.
