Going my way 3/8/2022

The first text message that I saw this morning was from my mom-in-law. She wished me a happy birthday.

My daughter and I went to three grocery stores. I purchased some groceries that I want to eat tomorrow on my birthday. I was surprised at the prices that I usually buy. They were all raised by 1.8 times as much as before. I also recognized that lots of shelves were left empty. It reminded me of the time when Covid-19 just arrived. The people got panicked and started stocking up groceries.

After I came back from the stores, I got dizzy and needed to stay in bed for one hour or so. I am still in the recovering process.

At night I attended the meeting hosted by my immediate supervisor’s supervisor. I met him online for the first time. He gave us a brief introduction training about their business method. One phrase was really resonated with me tonight. It was 「何か達成したいのなら、大多数の意見はフォローしない」. It means “if you want to have a huge success, don’t follow the majority.” He later posted another quote from Albert Einstein “When it doesn’t feel right, go left. The one who follows the crowds will usually go no further than crowd. The one who walks alone is likely to find himself in places no one has ever been before.” Thank you Takeshi-san for sharing this great quote. I believe this teaching is especially needed in this time when we are about to meet the turning point. We all have to open our mind eyes wide open and listen to our gut feelings on which way we want to go. I always want to follow my intuition and gut feelings, and not to mention, I always want to be alert on what my family spirits want me to do. I want to cherish every moment on this planet Earth until the very last moment.
