It was a super-hot day. We are in the middle of summer. While we were walking in the neighborhood area, a big snake, approximately 3 meters long, crossed in front of us.
My daughter’s school is almost done. She submitted one of the huge science assignment today and has only one more math assignment left. She is very close to her summer break.
I thought of last year. Around this time of last year, my dad-in-law was still alive. Those days my family spirits kept on talking to me that my daughter and I should stay at least 2 weeks on Navajoland and spend time with my dad-in-law. They wanted especially my daughter to see what my dad-in-law was doing for his medicine work helping people. My husband and I agreed with the idea and we were actually planning to go with the plan. I don’t remember exactly what happened, but we needed to postpone the plan. Then next month my dad-in-law got infected Covid-19 and hospitalized in July. He came back with an oxygen tank. He was already very weak and fragile, and he passed away in august. I still think what if scenario. What if we still proceeded the plan and spent the 2 weeks with him, he could have taught us a lot before his departure. I really miss him. He had helped me a lot. Thank you dad for your constant support for us.
In the evening at 6 p.m., I had a phone conversation with my life-long friend. It is always fun and healing to talk with her. We always forget time because we have so much topic to share with, talk about, and laugh about. We always end our conversation with full of energy. I sincerely appreciate her long term friendship.
