Missing Japan 3/14/2023

When I talked with my dad on the phone last night, he was asking when I would be able to visit him in Japan. He asks me this same question every time when we talk on the phone. On our last phone conversation at the New Year’s Eve of last year, without thinking, I answered my dad it might be this coming May. But to be honest, I am still reluctant to take a long hour international flight to Japan anytime soon.

That being said, I wanted to know the price and the condition about the trip back to Japan. I called the travel agency and asked about the airplane ticket price. The round trip for this October was $1,444 per adult, which was not bad at all. Last time when I called about the round-trip price in 2021, it was about $5,000 per adult. I could have reserved the ticket today, but I postponed. The travel agency’s agent told me that it would be still tough for the people who didn’t have the vaccine more than three times due to the PCR result within 72 hours before the departure and other mandatory procedures to report to the government. I guess I should wait until October, or possibly sometime in next year. I know that one of these days these mandatory processes will be terminated.

In the early evening at 5 p.m., I attended the online Reiki gathering. Today’s gathering was for Americans and Mexicans. There were more than 50 attendees. The teacher seemed to be very happy that the Reiki philosophy has been taught and passed it down to a variety of age group in many different countries.
