I purchased a shinkansen ticket for the Japan trip. One of my friends gave me the URL link for foreigners to purchase shinkansen tickets. It took me much time to complete this process. Their website keeps automatically log out in an extremely short time, seems like on every 30 seconds, unbelievably short time. then my credit card was rejected. I’ve heard about this from other Japanese customers living in America that their website rejects the credit card issued other than in Japan. I used the other credit card, and it was accepted. All in all, it was a tedious process but I am glad I could purchase the tickets anyway.
