Challenging events 12/7/2023

A maintenance person finally came to our house. When we moved in this house in July, there were several items needed to be fixed, so we requested a maintenance service. The maintenance request had been not taken care of, for these past 5 months. I gave up and decided to put up with these issues until our moving out day.

The maintenance guy was not nice at all. He was rude and arrogant from the begging to the end. At the end, he asked me to open the gate so that he could fix the screen window. I opened the gate for him. He told me he would let me know when he was done fixing. Then, some minutes later, my husband noticed that the guy’s truck was already gone. He took off our house, without fixing the screen window, nor telling us that he was leaving. I thought he took off to the DIY store to purchase some items needed for the repair. We waited and waited, but he never came back. Then, finally we texted him and asked if he would come back today to fix it or not. He replied back and told us he would come back sometime next week.

Oh well. He is really bad in communicating. Maybe it happened to challenge my forgiveness ability. I guess I have passed the test, because his rude actions didn’t touch my nerve. I am glad I could stay calm with such a person. I hope I won’t need to deal with these typed people anymore though.

Surprise birthday gift 12/4/2023

We had an unexpected visitor to our house. It was our friend and she brought a surprise birthday gift to my daughter. It was a card to tell that my daughter owns a penguin and she can always check what her penguin is doing through their app. The penguin is now traceable by some type of microchip in the body. We thanked her for the nice gift.

After she left, I felt a bit scary by thinking if it happens to humans and that was already tried through the vaccines.

Washing machine being back to life 12/3/2023

In the morning I turned on the washing machine. When I went back to the laundry room 45 minutes later, all the clothes were still soaked in soapy water. Then I noticed the washing machine was out of order. I washed each clothe by hand one by one, and then ring it one by one. By the time when I was done hand-washing, I was exhausted.

My husband came back from work in the evening and checked the washing machine. He investigated it and instantly found out the damage and fix it. It was so amazing. Our washing machine has been working for us more than 15 years and went through moving process with us 5 times. It is amazing that my husband can fix things easily and our washing machine is still working for us. I am in awe.

Thinking of a biofeedback unit 11/30/2023

I’ve been thinking about purchasing a biofeedback unit. I started watching some training videos that the manufacture offers. I registered their lifetime membership and they offer 9 training videos for free of charge for the members. The more I learn about the unit, the more attractive it gets to me. I am now eager to purchase, but I will need to wait for a while because of their high price.

Resting day 11/29/2023

It was a weird weather day. in the day time the temperature was very high that my daughter and I ended up wearing a camisole and tank top. We opened all the windows and turned the ceiling fans on. In the evening the temperature started dropping down suddenly and we changed our clothes into long sleeve and long pants.

My health was reacting weirdly according to the temperature. While I was cooking dinner, all of a sudden, I felt dizzy and needed to sit down. My right side of my body started feeling tingly and kind of numbed. I went to bed earlier than normal.

Precious time of mom and daughter 11/28/2023

My daughter and I went to the mall and grocery store. After the Thanksgiving Day and the cyber-Monday, all the stores were nice and quiet, and the workers were calm and peaceful. We purchased new clothes and shoes for our small cerebration.

All of a sudden, some memories of my late mom came back to me. My mom would take me to her favorite Udon restaurant. Her favorite food was Chikara Udon, which contains Mochi in Udon soup. I would love going to her favorite temple where we visited all the monuments and statutes and offered rice offerings and some coins. She was very nice to me. She loved me so much that she would always think of me even after I moved to America.

Now it is my turn to spend time with my daughter to have a good time together. The time of mom and daughter is limited and precious.
