I woke up at 6 am with the natural sun light. I had a fun dream this morning. Instead of getting out from bed right away, I stayed in bed for a while, enjoying the remainder fun feeling from my dream. I love spending time in-between of the awake world and dream world. In case you are curious of my fun dream, my dream was about our family vacation with my in-laws.
Suddenly, my relaxing moment was disturbed by the sound of a continuous thud sounds. With my half-awake consciousness, I noticed it was from the garbage collection truck.
I thought to myself. “Seriously? It is still 6 am. They cannot come in this early morning.”
I didn’t want to miss our trash being picked up. I quickly got out from bed and went outside. However, I saw nothing but the collection truck’s butt. It just passed by our house.

Recently my local city changed their trash collection rule.
As for the pickup frequency, previously they used to pick trash up twice a week. Now they changed it only once a week.
As for the pickup time, previously they used to come around 10:30 am. Now they changed their policy of pickup time as “anytime between 6:30 am to 6:30 pm”. After their procedure change, the truck started coming at their spontaneous day. So far, they came around 7 am for some times. For other times they didn’t come until 5 pm in the evening.

Later this afternoon I had two different visitors to my house. Both of them are my neighbors. They came in a different timing. I normally don’t have any neighbor visitors to my house, so it was a bit surprising for me.
One neighbor wanted to ask me about the water usage. Her recent water bill shows double price of previous months. They are an old couple, just two of them. The old couple was upset for the sudden raise of water bill.
The other neighbor wanted to ask me about the trash collection time of today. It was after 5 pm when she asked me the question. She didn’t know the trash collection track already came at 6 am this morning. She was upset about that.

There is another concern for all of us. The new city mayor recently announced of utility fee raise. They already raised the trash collection fee a couple of months before. Now, starting from this month, they will raise the fee of water, sewer, and the accompanied tax. They put an example of a residence of 4,000 gallons per month. it will be raised to 1.70 times as much as previous amount. For most families of 3 or 4 or more, the fee will be raised to double price of previous amount.
I have heard people complaining in person. And I have read disagreed and upset peoples’ comments in their Facebook page. Obviously many citizens are upset about this new drastic change.
