Promotion tests 4/4/2019

Starting from today my daughter’s school started the promotion tests. I don’t know much about the tests because I did not graduate the schools in this country. I might be wrong in details, but all I know is that the tests are to decide whether a student can move on to the next grade. The tests are mandatory for the public school students.

The tests consist of three categories; Writing, Reading, and Math. In order to move on to the next grade, a student needs to pass the tests. In case a student does not reach at the specified level of test results, the student has to redo the same grade for one more year.

Yesterday when my daughter came back home, she was so stressed out for the upcoming test. She actually felt sick with headache and tummy ache. After dinner she had a nosebleed.

It was very rare for her. This was her second nosebleed in all her life. Her first one was when she was still a toddler during our long-drive-trip.

After her nosebleed stopped, she enjoyed her evening with her relaxing activities. But right after she went to bed, her nosebleed started again.

I cannot think about the cause of her nosebleed as nothing but stress. She was stressed out for the tests. It was a big deal for her. I felt sorry for her. She has to deal with the stressful promotion tests in such a young grade of elementary school. I never experienced any heavy stress in my elementary school days.

Today during she was in school, I prayed for her about all the good things in the tests.

When I picked her up at the school bus stop, I was relieved to see her big smile. She said she did well on today’s test.

The tests will be held at five different days. We are not informed the schedule of the tests. I hope she will do her best. And I hope the tests will be done soon.
