In the middle of the night, I attended two online meeting. One was Reiki gathering started at 1 a.m. and the other was a seminar presented by a Japanese accountant regarding the process of parents’ death.

Even though it was tough for my physical body to have less sleep, it was worthy to attend the both online meetings.

I was glad to see my Reiki teacher in the screen. He cancelled the last gathering for American attendees on October 18^th.  The meeting host informed us that the teacher was feeling sick after his trip to Europe. The Reiki teacher explained the situation at the gathering. He was okay during the trip and came back to Japan safely. However, on the next day of his arrival, he started feeling sick and having the flu symptom. He ended up staying in bed for at least two weeks. He asked all the attendees to send him Reiki energy. We gladly did so during the meeting.

Today he shared his wisdom about 自力 (Jiriki) and 他力 (Tariki). Jiriki is self-power. One example of Jiriki is Zen, which is to attain enlightenment by mediation and making efforts. On the other hand, Tariki is other’s power. One example is 浄土宗 (Jodoshu) that is one of the major 13 Buddhism sects. In Jodoshu, they believe the believer can go to the Pure land after death. In this sense, it is similar to Christianity. To him, they can be conditional because only a person who believes a certain way, chants a certain mantra, or goes to a church can go to Pure land or Heaven. Compared with the conditional Tariki of those religions, he feels Reiki energy is the pure Tariki. Because Reiki works great for all the living creatures without asking any specific conditions.

He said the real Tariki is just like Reiki. We sometimes admire that we humans are powerless. In order for Reiki energy flow, we as a reiki practitioner need to let go of our ego and completely surrender to the Universe. We need to believe in the greater power, Universe, Great Spirit, Something Great that everything is in a good hand. Self-power is limited but Tariki power is limitless. It was a great reminder for me. I always enjoy listening to my Reiki teacher’s knowledge sharing.

My husband and daughter went to the restaurant for lunch. I happily saw them off and wished them for a good time of Dad-Daughter time. I stayed at home and enjoyed my alone time. Yesterday I successfully attained one meal a day with 24 hours fasting, and wanted to do the same today. My goal is to keep one meal a day and drastically reduce the food intake amount. I want to stay being light in terms of the body mass physically and in terms of vibration spiritually.

In the morning I went to the local grocery store with my daughter. I usually wake up at 6 a.m. and leave the house as soon as possible. When it comes to going to a grocery store, from my experiences, the earlier in the morning, the better shopping experience. I will have less traffic and less people in the store. Less-people means less-opportunities to run into mean people.

This morning I was planning to wake up early as usual, but couldn’t, because I was lacking enough sleep last night. I finally woke up after 7:30 a.m. and left the house after 8 a.m. Everything of each step of the shopping was fine. On our way to the store, there was less cars in the road. In the store, there was less people. However, I forgot that it was Black Friday. By the time we finished picking up the items and proceeded to the self-cashier area, I saw more people in the store. There was my favorite worker at the self-cashier area. We greeted and exchanged nice words to each other. So far so good until the final step.

My daughter was standing on my left, helping me to pick up each item from the cart, and I scanned and put the items in shopping bags. When I finished scanning all the items, I told my daughter to move to my right. Right after my daughter moved the standing position, I heard a loud sound on my left. I saw an old male customer sitting on an electric powered cart. He could not control the cart car and hit my cart with a high force. I was shocked and astonished. I saw the old man and he apologized me. Then when he tried to move the cart car, he hit other side of my cart with the full force again. Also he even hit another female customer who happened to be the area. The old customer apologized to me and the female customer. I was not mad at him but I was still shocked with what happened. My daughter could have been injured by his hit. I really wanted to tell him that since he cannot control the electric powered car, he should not ride on it. He should take this accident seriously and never take the ride anymore to avoid any serious accidents to happen in the future. But I bit my tongue and didn’t say anything.    

At night I meditated and asked my family spirits the reason why this event happened.

Their answers were like this.

My daughter was safe and untouched because our vibrations were high enough to avoid getting involved with any troubles or accidents. It happened to show me the importance of staying in a higher vibration all the time. Also, it happened to show me the importance of not allowing any bad events happen to us. I thanked my family spirits and my daughter’s family spirits for protecting us all the time.

In the early morning at 4 a.m., I attended the palm reading online gathering. Last night I went to bed at 8 p.m. to get some sleep, but I could not sleep at all. I tossed and turned all the time and ended up finding out it was already 3 a.m. I gave up trying to sleep anymore. I got out from bed and got ready for the gathering.

Today the instructor shared his thoughts about luck. He said like this.

Luck is the one we can manipulate as we like. The majority of people feel being lucky when things are going as they wish. From a point of spirits’ view, on the other hand, we are being lucky and blessed whenever we encounter and deal with some types of challenging events so that we can grow our soul. I agree with him. Even though it seems to have a tough time, as long as we grow our soul level by learning from it, we are lucky and blessed.

Today was New Moon, and it is good to start something new. My daughter and I agreed to start chanting Hannya Shingyo together. Since I have been chanting it every day since my late mom’s departure and my daughter has been listening to it many times, it already has become familiar with her. I hope it will be her natural habit for the rest of her life.

For two mornings straight, I had the dream with the similar advice. My family spirits advised me to plant onions in the backyard. I never thought of it, but it is a great idea. First, our backyard is now wide open as our summer produces were all done. Second, an onion is my favorite food for these years and I eat it every day. Third, it is the right timing (or maybe, a little late) to plant onions. Maybe I should go to the DIY store during the weekend and purchase the seeds and plant them.

Today I worked on a life insurance purchase process for my daughter. I run an illustration of some scenarios and picked one that will be beneficial for her in the future. So far I have heard several people talking about the great benefits of purchasing an FFIUL for their minor children, and now I fully agree with them. I shared my knowledge and information with my family and we all agreed to apply the one I recommended.

My family and I watched the movie Avatar (2009) on the DVD at home. We watched this movie a couple of times while my daughter was still a toddler, but we wanted to refresh our memory before the upcoming new movie comes to the theater. I was once told that my soul is originated from the star Arcturus, I feel honored if it is true. I have been a member of Arcturus community in FB, and the members have mentioned that the movie Avatar is related to our homeland star. Four more Avatar movie series, Avatar 2 to 5, are set to be released starting from this year to the year 2028. I am so excited to watch them all.

So far, three of my friends asked me what my daughter wants to receive for her upcoming birthday. I am so grateful that they remember her birthday and want to make her day special. My daughter is good at finding what she wants in the online store. She is thoughtful so that whatever she chooses is within very reasonable price range. The items she has selected are all cute and fit to her cute characteristics.

My husband and I ordered an ice cream cake for her. We are looking forward to her special day.

I ordered the homeopathy remedies that was prescribed by my new friend who is a student of professional homeopathy school. There were many items that I wanted to purchase from their store, so the total amount had accumulated a huge amount. The remedy store will send my ordered items to a shipping agent, and the shipping agent will forward my items with the custom documents. I wonder how long it would take for the remedies to arrive to my house.

In the afternoon my husband and I worked on reviewing and setting up the benefits of the following year that is offered by his company. His current company offers the benefits in a much better condition than ever. Many of this company’s workers leave high reviews of their benefits. I agree with them. I appreciate my husband for working at this company to support us.    

It was an extremely busy day. I attended a one-day lecture/seminar for farmers/gardeners for 7 hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. I had some other appointments and chores so I recorded it whenever I needed to leave the seminar. I went to pick up some produces from the community garden people, went for a bowling with my family, and attended the online training for the insurance agents. My day went by quickly. I will listen to the recording sometime soon.
