This morning I saw a shocking scenery. When I opened the entrance door to go for a morning walk, my flower pots were raided. I had been taking good care of tomatoes and chard. I watered them and talked to them every day. The tomatoes were ripe and started changing colors from hard green to soft yellow, and I was actually planning to harvest the tomatoes tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. Now they were all taken. I talked to the tomato plant that they must be scared for the sudden attack by javelinas. I gently touched the plant and gave them comfort.
Later on the day, I felt I should think it was a pay forward. A small gift was given to javelinas that they were desperately hungry and raiding the residents’ trash bins. When I consider it as a small offering that will eventually balance out our life in a good way, I started feeling better.
