In the night around 8 p.m., we heard a weird sound outside. Then my husband received a phone call as a mass notification warning us about a tornado. The automated voice urged us to go to the right shelter and stay inside the sturdy shelter. We don’t have a specific shelter unlike the areas where they frequently receive a tornado warning. Some areas like one of my friends in Oklahoma state, they are required to have a sturdy shelter in their backyard built in underground. I was shocked with the tornado warning because we never received before in our area. Within one hour, the warning was cleared. I am glad that our area was well protected and we are safe.
