First Snow in a long time 2/26/2018

This morning my husband woke us up with his excited voice, “it’s snowing”. My daughter and I jumped up from bed and took a look of outside. It sure was snowing. We seldom have snow in this area, and this is our first snow in this winter.

At the bus stop, not only other children but also we adults enjoyed snow. I wanted to keep watching kids playing with snow. One child stuck her tongue out in the air trying to taste snow, and the other child collected snow trying to make a snow ball. Everybody was happy playing with snow.

In my elementary school days, we often had snow in winter. We all wore rainy boots to school. During the recess, we screamed with joy and went to the ground to play with snow. I remember one time I got chilblains on my both feet. My mom prepared a warm vinegar foot bath for me. It stung my feet but also cured my chilblains right away.

Nowadays everywhere in the world is getting warmer than before. My hometown area does not have much snow as my childhood days anymore.

Gift bag 2/25/2018

A friend of mine passed away in 2014. Nowadays she started often visiting me in my dream. In today’s dream, however, she was not there. Her partner was there instead.

Her partner handed me a big gift paper bag. He said it was a gift from my late friend to me. The bag had the design of many small flowers on a gentle pink background color. The bag itself looked like a flower bouquet.

My birthday is coming closer. The other day my daughter asked me what I wanted for a gift. I instantly answered I wanted to have a flower bouquet with a colorful small flowers. I described the details to her. And the gift bag that I was given was exactly same color (orange, red, pink, and yellow) and flower that I thought in my mind. My late friend and her partner should have read my mind.  Of course they could. They are now spirits.

Anyways, back to the story of my dream.

When I opened the gift back, there were lots of cards and pictures. When I picked one by one and focused my attention, the message from the card or picture popped up into my mind.

The messages were like these.

“This year of 2018 is the one for you!”

“You are on the right path!”

“Don’t doubt. Keep going!”

“You will take a huge leap this year!”

I honestly don’t know what I should keep doing. But I appreciate for the wonderful birthday gift from my late friend. Thank you for cheering me up.

I remember her birthday was one day before of mine. So, happy birthday to you too, my friend!

Sending love and respect 2/24/2018

Today my daughter woke up feeling sick. Her armpit temperature was 38.1C (100.6F). We were planning to attend at the children’s art event at the local community college, but could not go anywhere.

While I was taking care of my daughter, I thought of my parents.

I live far away from my parents. I sincerely hope somebody very nice is talking good care of my parents. Whatever I do to my daughter, I do it with plenty of love. I hope my parents will constantly receive pure love and respect from somebody close.

I believe energy works beyond time and space. I believe my pure love and respect to my parents can go beyond time and space, so that they will at least receive the pure love and respect from me. And I hope that will make them feel warm and happy.

Creativity club 2/23/2018

I attended the creative activity club with my daughter at the local library. We made homemade slimes in five different recipes. We used a variety of ingredients such as shaving cream, borax powder, laundry detergent, glue, contact solution, food coloring, and glitter powders.

I was planning to be there as an observer. But once I started mixing the ingredient, it was so fun that I was really into it.

By the time we finished making different types of slime, all of us got colorful. We got food coloring attached to our hands, faces, and clothes. And, not to mention, we all were smiling for fun.

It was fun creating something with small children. I was blessed with their high pitch toned voices and laughter.

Floating away 2/22/2018

In this time of the beginning year, time and days seem to go quicker than in other months. During these past two months, I didn’t have nothing particular events. Weird enough, for some of the days, I honestly don’t remember how I spent.

I was astonished that it was almost the end of February. In Japan we say the first three months go quickly. We express January as “iku” (going), February as “nigeru” (running away), and March as “saru” (leaving). For me, the same expression matches in living in America.

When I admit these months going quickly, I feel like I am just an observer of my life.

I want to cherish every day and every moment of my valuable this lifetime, rather than being an observer.

Work smarter, not harder 2/21/2018

I attended at the science club activity with my daughter. Today’s activity was to create a heart object on a wooden board. Each child was provided a hammer, nails, and a wooden board. They made their artwork by themselves. It was cute to observe small children holding a hammer and hitting the head of the tiny nails on the wooden board. I heard their cute “ouch!” whisper from time to time throughout the room. I think almost everybody hit their finger once or twice. They didn’t give up. They just kept going on. Toward the end, I hardly heard the “ouch!” whisper anymore. Everybody somewhat got the hang of using a hammer.

The instructor taught the children to hold the hammer toward the edge, rather than holding the middle part. By holding the edge of the hammer, they can use the weight of the hammer head to hit the head of nails without using their muscle. The instructor mentioned it as “work smarter, not harder.”

I liked the way the instructor taught. She naturally taught the tip that the children can use in their daily life.

I always think to do everything in my daily life efficiently in time and efforts. I had this habit since I was small. Maybe my parents naturally taught me this.

Before starting anything, it is good to think first about the most efficient way in time and efforts. Just taking a long breath will do. You are valuable energy. Time is valuable energy. Why don’t we use our valuable energy in the most efficient way?

Field trip 2/20/2018

Today I attended the school field trip as a chaperon. It was my first experience to be a chaperon.

I was assigned three girls in my team. My daughter and two of her friends. I was responsible for them during the field trip. One girl stayed with us all the time, while the other girl was like a butterfly going here and there. She moved swiftly. At one moment she was in the other classmate’s group in front of me, and the next second she moved to the group back of me. In a way, I was impressed how swiftly she could move the location without letting me notice.

I observed the teacher constantly counted the head number of students. I know it is a tough job. It reminded me of the tour I guided in 2006 and 2007. The customers were around 10 people. Even though they were adults, some people were just like the girl in my team. They swiftly moved here and there like a butterfly. I constantly counted the head of the tour customers.

When we got on the school bus on our return to school, I was so exhausted. I wanted to go back home as soon as possible. The other students as well as the teachers were not tired at all. The school bus was full of their laughter and chatting voice all the way back to school.

All in all, I had a great fun with them. The young children are full of fun energy. I don’t think I can do a chaperon every day, though. One day in a great while is enough for me.

Reading appointment 2/19/2018

The other day I sent a letter to Universe. I asked to provide me an opportunity of a spiritual reading. Five days later, which is today, I received a newsletter from one Australian man. He said he would offer a one-on-one reading session online for a limited time to a limited number of people. He is a well-known spiritual teacher. Last year I took two of his online courses, so I know his kind energy. I thought my prayer was heard. I am grateful my angels guided me to him as the messenger from my family spirits.

I can ask him only one question. I want to share my question here in my article.

***

My question is about my public duty (or life mission).

When I was in Japan, I received the repetitive same message that I would have “Oyakume” in America. “Oyakume” is a Japanese term meaning “public duty” or “to serve people”.

Here is the rough story of my previous two years.

In 2016, I had the similar dreams. In the dreams, my family spirits shouted at me to “come out”. As my reply to the strong calls from spirits, I established a spirituality based small business in August 2016.

In 2016, I did everything I could think of, in order to promote my business. I established my homepage, participated at the small business fair as a vendor and offered people reading sessions, being featured in the local magazine, asked all the possible public places for the opportunity of presentations or talks. I even submitted my book proposal at the Hay House writer’s contest. No success at all.

Disappointed with the results of the previous year, the following year in 2017, I did nothing particular. The only one thing I keep doing is to write my article on my homepage. I write my article every day since 2016. I don’t even know if I have a reader or not. I do this to heal myself. I can keep being myself by expressing myself and conveying the messages in my articles.

So, this is why I want to ask about my “oyakume”. Is it okay with me to do nothing? Was I trying to do things in the wrong place at the wrong timing to the wrong audience?

I look forward to hearing the right message through him. He is going to send us the link of individual video message in the month of April.

Forgiveness 2/18/2018

I finished reading the book “Judgement Detox” written by Gabrielle Bernstein. As always I enjoyed reading her book. Her book guides us the readers to a spiritual journey. After reading her book, I feel like I came back from an adventure or a journey. There are many points that resonated with me well.

I would like to share one part that resonated with me the most. It is about forgiveness.

Gabrielle says “This isn’t to say we need to forgive immediately. We simply need to be willing to forgive.” Cited from her book page 176.

I feel forgiveness is one of the most difficult topics because of its personality. We can fake ourselves. We can pretend that we already have forgiven somebody who hurt us mentally and physically. However, the true forgiveness become available only with the help of spirits. It is a spiritual work. It is a miraculous work.

Last year I took a huge leap on forgiveness toward my mom. I had accumulated anger toward my mom for many years. When I expressed my anger to her in person, she said she didn’t remember any of them.

When I heard her saying that, I finally realized that it was me who stubbornly stuck with the anger. Then I truly decided to be willing to forgive her. The rest was easy. My family spirits took over the remainder tasks for me. My anger to my mom dissolved and melted away.

Gabrielle also says that willingness is the key to open the door for forgiveness. It is very true.

With my own experience, I can assure this. Forgiveness frees us. Forgiveness is beneficial to us. Once we forgive others and free ourselves, we feel much lighter and happier. It is like a free bird that can fry anywhere they want without any restrictions such as a heavy chain or a metal cage.

Homemade yogurt 2/17/2018

The other day I made my homemade yogurt. After mixing the yogurt starter packet into the warmed coconut milk to the body temperature, I kept it in a cooler box with a yutanpo (hot water reservoir) to ferment all night long. It did not turn out successfully. It smelled good like yogurt and tasted okay, but it was not firm as normal yogurt.

With my unsuccessful result, today I tried making my homemade yogurt again.

Here are the different process I used this time.

The first point is that I used soy milk instead of coconut milk. I read people’s blogs and posts about making homemade yogurt. According to them, soy milk seems to be easier than coconut milk to ferment.

The second point is that I used a yogurt maker. This appliance kept the soy milk at the best preferable temperature to ferment for 8 to 10 hours. The temperature didn’t drop during the night unlike using a cooler box and a yutanpo.

The third point is that I sanitized all the equipment with boiling hot water. I skipped this process for my first trial but I thought I should not skip this process this time.

With the improved process, it turned out successfully. My family and I enjoyed the homemade delicious yogurt.
