Today, I went to the local swimming pool with my family. It was their last day of this season. The pool water was gentle blue and slightly cold temperature. We enjoyed the last moment in the pool. Arizona summer is almost out. These past two months went by so quickly. I am happy to know that this summer 2017 was the most fun and memorable summer for my daughter.

Now it is time for us to welcome the autumn and the school start day. The schools in the next city start on August 2nd, while my area’s school starts one week later than them; on August 7th.

On the other hand, Japanese people is enjoying the midst of summer at this moment. My Japanese friends talk about their summer vacation plans. Whenever I hear them talking about camping, Yukata (summer version of Kimono), and Bon-Odori (bon festival dance), my mind travels back to my elementary school days. As for the summer activities, I loved going to Bon-Odori. Although most kids enjoy buying foods and playing games at the temporary stores around the dance ground, my interest always focused on dancing with others.

The original purpose of Bon-Odori was to welcome and console departed souls. Once I depart from this lifetime, I would definitely want to come back to join Bon-Odori in spirit.

Whenever I heard about the date and time of Bon-Odori, I would go and dance. Bon-Odori is held at the summer night. Sometimes I needed to walk 30 minutes to go there, and other times I went there even alone. Now that I wondered why my parents would allow me to go there alone in the night.

Now I am an adult turning back to my kid’s days, I know the memories what we have in our kids days will stay with us for the rest of our lives. Sometimes, the memories will be the key to remember who we truly are.

Last week, while I was driving, I saw one sign posted in front of one of the houses. The house had a private swimming pool and a spacious back yard. To my surprise, the sale price of the sign was extremely low for the house.

After I came back, I searched for more information about this house online. In America, you can see all the information of a house for sale, such as the year and the price that it was sold previously, the current sale price, as well as the detailed information of the house with the inside and outside pictures. (As far as I know, it is not like that in Japan.)

When I typed the home address, the information easily came out. The previous sale price was the average price for the house details. This house had 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Pretty spacious house.  

I wanted to take a close look of the house. So, this morning, I went to the house with my family. I asked my husband to call the phone number of the sign, so that we could make an appointment of the house tour. As he was about to call the number, we walked into the property in front of the entrance.

There, all of a sudden, my body was covered by goosebumps and cold sweat. I felt very uncomfortable. I turned to my husband and daughter, I could sense from their face expression that they felt the same way as I did.

I told him let’s not call the number, and he agreed with me.

After we came back home, we quickly burned the sage and smudged our body and our entire house including the entrance area.

We  thanked our spirits and angels to have given us an obvious sign by giving us goosebumps and cold sensation for the negative energy.

In my dream of this morning, a lone wolf showed up. I noticed him in a far distance. I did not run or scream. I just looked at him in his eyes. The distance between us got closer and closer until the wolf approached just in front of me. I sensed a deep wisdom in his eyes. I communicated with him “dear wise one, please do not attack me, as I am a divide being just like you.”

Then, the wolf sent me a block of thought as a reply. “I am not here to attack you. I am not here to warn you neither. I am here to let you know that I am willingly sharing my deep wisdom with you.”

Then, I woke up.

Even now, I still can see him in my vision, of his wise eyes filled with deep wisdom.

I feel another message from this wolf is the importance of dignity. I think this message is applied to everybody. We should highly esteem and respect ourselves;  who we truly are.

In the previous years, I bought seeds from the local hardware stores. The seeds did not have any issues to germinate.

This year, I bought seeds from an online store I happened to find. I divided the seeds into 2 groups. I planted the first ones at the end of April, and the last ones at the middle of May. I started them indoors. Some of them germinated so I transplanted to outside in my back yard. I kept all the seeds for sprouts seeds indoors. I don’t know about the soil temperature, but at the place where I live, both inside and outside, it gets pretty warm. The covering soil was approximately 1/2″ to 1/4″. I think I did everything right, but unfortunately, the majority of seeds did not germinate this year.

I was not planning to contact the online seeds store, but on my second thought, I thought I should at least let them know. So I reported about my seeds.

To my surprise, they responded back to me right away, with warm and thoughtful apologies. Then, they sent the same package of seeds including all the seeds that I purchased as a replacement, so that I can give it a try. I appreciate for their fast action and kind support.

So now, I am provided another opportunity to grow them. Now that I know Archangel Ariel can help me to germinate them. I prayed for her support. I hope this batch will germinate successfully. I will update you in this short article page.

It has been almost two months since my daughter started participating at the local summer school program. She has only three more days to go.

At this program, there are approximately 30 students gathered. The age range is from 1st grader to 5th grader. It was her great opportunity to make friends with different aged kids. Also, she made new friends who go to other school. I am so happy for her to have such a great opportunity to make a variety of friends. Thanks to this program, she had enjoyed her summer vacation. These two months have gone very quickly.

Since some of her new friends were older than her, they all had their own tablet. They always bring their tablet and use it for taking pictures or listening music.

For these two months, my daughter would tell me that she wanted to have her own tablet. I was planning to buy it for her sometime soon.

Today they had an award ceremony of the reading contest for their reading efforts. It was funded and sponsored by the local library. The participants were asked every day, about how many minutes they read books on the previous evening.

The librarian showed the kids the 1st, the 2nd, and the 3rd prizes. My daughter was surprised to see the 1st prize gift was a new tablet. So, she prayed to her angels “please angels, let me win the 1st prize.” At the next second, she heard her name was called as the 1st prize winner. Other kids turned to her and congratulated her. That was the moment when she got her own tablet.

I was amazed on how she manifested her desire, in such a natural way!

To see somebody off to the spirit world is tough. It is very tough especially when the person is our parent.

I feel it is time for me to see my parents off, back to the spirit world, pretty soon. I have received such messages through my dreams recently, repeatedly.

Both of my parents have gone through tough days and happy days, but all in all, I believe their life have been a wonderful one. There are so many things that I don’t know about them. I strongly believe each one of us decided our life scenario before we were born, and that includes our last moment.

I respect their lives and their life plans. I cannot interfere their sacred plan. If they wish to see me at their last moment, it will happen naturally. If they don’t want me to see their last minute of this lifetime, we will be guided that way naturally.

I hope my parents will be able to go without any regrets when their best timing has come to go back to the spirit world. I always appreciate their kind support and unconditional love toward me. I appreciate them even more on their harsh wordings or actions, because they motivated me and strengthened me mentally and spiritually. I don’t have any grudge feeling to them at all. I have nothing but appreciation to them. This is my true feeling.

I would like to send my sincere prayer to my parents.

To their angels and spirits, please protect them at your fullest strength, so that they can enjoy their last days peacefully without any pain or regrets. Please let them feel my love toward them all the time. Please let them know I am with them in spirit whenever they need my love and support.

Today when I picked my daughter up at school, she had a big smile on her face. She told me she participated at the science fair.

There, she experienced many scientific experiences with other older kids. She wore the laboratory goggles and groves that they prepared for participants. She said everything she experienced was fun and exciting. They learned a lot and laughed a lot. Her favorite thing was that all the participants cooperated each other and had a fun together.   

When I heard about it, I pictured the scenery of Japanese famous science teacher, Denjiro-sensei, performed many fun scientific experiences in front of children.   

This science fair was sponsored by the local university. I had seen the brochure. It said the qualified participants were children of 9 years old and up. So I thought my daughter could not go. She is still 7 years old.

I noticed that her teacher took my daughter as an exception (secretly to others, maybe). So I whispered to the teacher “thank you for taking my daughter to the science fair.”

The teacher told me that she took my daughter as an exception because she was always polite with a well behavior. The teacher mentioned that the normal kids of her age cannot listen or sit still. During the summer school program, they had many different guest speakers from other universities or organizations. Smaller kids always ended up disturbing other kids or not listening quietly, but my daughter always stayed being good and an excellent listener and supporter.

I am happy to hear good things about my daughter from others. But, more than anything else, I am always happy whenever I see my daughter being happy and smiling.

In this spring, in May, I planted some herbal and vegetable seeds. But for some reasons, the majority of my seeds did not germinate. I started all the seeds indoors. Then, after some of them germinated, I transplanted them to outdoors.

The successful germinated seeds were only cilantro, wheat grass, and lemon basil. Among them, there were some seeds that I didn’t recognize at the beginning. They looked pretty when they were just germinated. So I didn’t pull them out when the thinning out and weeding process.

Today, when my family was out in the garden, my husband took a look of the unknown plants. They were healthy and growing taller, up to 12 inch (30 cm) high. My husband asked me why I left these weeds growing. He showed me the sharp spikes between stems. With his pointing, I finally recognized they were weeds. I see these plants (some of them are big trees) in our closest jungle area.

We pulled the weeds out from the garden. Their roots were thick and long, rooted deeply and firmly to the ground. It gave me a good laugh to know these weeds thanked me every time I watered them.

I admired on how the nature works. I apologized them for taking them off from the ground. Sorry guys, but I need to take you guys off, so that my cilantro can grow.

Today I went to the swimming pool with my family. Since there were huge piles of rain clouds in the sky, no other people was in the pool. We enjoyed the luxurious feeling; we felt like as it were our own private swimming pool with a life guard. Due to the monsoon’s every day rain, the depth of water was deeper than ever. Also we felt the water as softer than before. Maybe it is because of lots of rain water, rather than tap water. I enjoyed the soft touch of water.

In this time of the year, you see the signs saying “back to school fair” here and there in the town and school supplies at the stores.

And, last but not least, the temperature gets milder day by day. This time is the only short two to three months that you can enjoy humidity in the air in the southern Arizona.

Yes, we are getting ready to autumn. It is still weird to me, because I grew up in Japan where July is entering to summer.

My favorite season is winter, so I can’t wait to say hi to winter pretty soon.

I went to the grocery store and bought three gallon bottles of vinegar. Most of the times, the casher asks me some questions why I need that much vinegar. However, today was different.

The cashier smiled at me and told me that vinegar was very useful. I agreed with her. I was happy to hear her saying that. I told her that I use vinegar for a cleaning, a bath, and a laundry softener.

The cashier smiled even bigger and nodded. She said she also buys lots of Bolax. I smiled even bigger too and nodded, saying “Yep, I do too”. I told her that I also buy lots of baking soda. She said “Yep, I do too.”

This small conversation with the grocery cashier made my day. I was happy to know that I met somebody who has her daily life in an eco-friendly frugal way.

Nowadays, I have witnessed some better changes at the local grocery stores. One example is that the space for organic produces is getting bigger and wider. Another example is that the variety of oils are getting available, starting from coconut oil, avocado oil, and flaxseed oil. These were difficult to find in the local grocery stores two years ago. I think they are great improvements for all of us.

Today, I ordered a set of beeswax food wrap. These are replaceable for plastic wraps. I am looking forward to them arrive so that I can contribute to the eco-friendly frugal life. Small but steady and powerful, right?
